Every one of these was described by the person who ordered it. None came from a menu, because there isn’t one — which is exactly the point of the section above.
A Number Blocks cake
A fourth birthday, and the whole thing turned round in a week.
A Minecraft cake
Ordered at short notice and delivered anyway.

A first birthday.

Named more than once, with fresh strawberries in the filling.
A flan
For a birthday party, and decorated rather than just turned out.
A potato-chip cake
For somebody’s potato-chip-obsessed sister. That is the whole brief, and it worked.
One story worth telling
The cake came out the wrong colour. They fixed it while she waited.
A sixtieth birthday cake was meant to be mint green and peach. Somewhere between the counter and the decorator it became mint green and pink.
By the customer’s own account, the bakery took the cake straight back and repainted the larger flowers on the spot. She wrote afterwards that the cake looked amazing, that people complimented it all night, and thanked them for fixing it so quickly.
That is a better advertisement than a perfect record, and it is currently invisible — buried on page two of somebody else’s reviews.
Hours
Closed Mondays. Short day on Sunday.
Ten in the morning until seven in the evening, Tuesday through Saturday. Sunday opens at ten as well but finishes at three — worth knowing if a Sunday pickup is the plan.
